Professionally, I am a sports correspondent with the Charlotte Sun-Herald in Port Charlotte, Florida. I cover all high school sports from baseball to wrestling, but have also done several other pieces outside of high school athletics. I wrote a feature on a 60 year old softball player with an amputation below the knee on his right leg and only seven fingers between both hands. I've done a piece on a 70 year old national karate champion, and have also done a piece of the national rock, paper, scissors, tournament sweeping across bars and restaurants around the country. But other than the heartwarming and obscure, I've covered several Tampa Bay Rays games, both spring training and regular season, and have worked in the radio booth with the radio announcers Andy Freed and Dave Wills. I was also the beat writer and the co-radio voice for the Charlotte County Redfish of the now defunct South Coast League in 2007.
Personally, I am a die-hard Boston Sports fan, Sox, Pats, Celts, Eagles, you name it, I love it! I love playing sports no matter what it is, if I see a ball, I grab it and start playing no matter any situation. I love writing about sports and putting the passion on paper that I feel in my heart about them and love to hear readers feedback whether it'd be positive or negative to help become the best writer I can be. But sports doesn't consume my life, it just has an enormous part in it, I like to go out and socialize with friends, I love music and movies from any genre, and I basically just like to have a good time! I look forward to meeting new sports fans here on SportsBunch.com and am excited to be a part of such a fresh and upcoming site!
